Family owned and operated by the Fox family. Our family stays on the premises with the dogs at night (The Fox family has a lifetime—over 50 years!—experience in dog handling and behavior).
Crate-free - no kennels, no enclosed suites!
Round-the-clock staff present on the premise!
All staff are NYC approved & certified Animal Handlers.
Additionally all staff are certified in Pet First Aid & CPR.
Full tour of facility always allowed and encouraged before use of our services.
Free Half Day of Daycare provided so your dog can get acquainted with us.
Where do they sleep? Dogs sleep in the bed with the Attendant or in cozy dog beds around the Attendant, just like home.
No surcharges for holidays!
Small surcharges for medication/supplements or special food/diets per day, not per administration.
Boarding is NOT separate from Daycare. During the day, guests join the Daycare pack.
4 large spaces/pens to separate dogs according to temperament - We love all dogs and want them to go wherever is best and safest for them.
We have a backyard! It’s 1000 sq ft of space installed with leading industry K9 Grass® by Forever Lawn®. Dogs have free access to yard all day/all night.

We LOVE Paws and Rec and so does our 13 month old Golden Doodle Bella.
We first used them for boarding for an overnight stay. We then did progressively longer stays - a weekend, a week and finally two weeks. While she definitely missed us, she absolutely loves going there. She runs in whenever we bring her (vs lets say, the vet).
While we're away we live for the photos of her having fun with her buddies on Paws & Recs' instagram account. It helps us manage how much we miss her.
There's also the option of getting her bathed before we pick up, which is really nice!

BEFORE THE USE OF ANY OF OUR SERVICES,
PLEASE SCHEDULE YOUR FREE MEET & GREET
Each evening, the Overnight Attendant sets up their bed in the pen. Dog guests are welcomed to sleep in bed with their attendant or are supplied soft dog beds on the floor around the attendant. Lights are out by 10:00 PM with ambient sounds playing in the background to settle everyone for a good night’s rest. Any special diets or medications are carefully administered if necessary.
